I have Kubuntu 18.04.01 on a dual boot Windows 10 PC and have an inexplicable LAN transfer speed as follows:
Using Dolphin to transfer to or from another machine my transfer speed is only ~20 Mb/s
Using Windows (dual boot, same hardware) to transfer the the same file to or from the same location my transfer speed is ~110 Mb/s
Using another PC on the LAN (Ubuntu 17.10 File Manager) to transfer the same file to or from the same location my transfer speed is ~65 Mb/s.
I have tested 2 files, 1, 20 GB and 1, 2 GB with the same results.
So what is a 4 minute transfer at full speed is now a 20+ minute PITA.
I am using Samba to connect everything. Speed test of the internet connection is a constant 95 Mb/s up and down on all 3 systems. It appears that Dolphin is the culprit but I do not have enough knowledge of what to do next. Anyone have any suggestions?
