    Unable to see anything

    Hello,

I'm trying to install Edgy Eft on a machine that has been running Slackware 10. Unforunately towards the start of the install process (after the Kubuntu log with the blue knight rider lights), everything disapears, and the monitor (and Acer AL2017), says "Input not supported". So I tried playing with the F4 option to change the resolution, but the monitor's native resolution of 1400 x 1050 is not there. Is there a way of asking Kubuntu to use this resolution?

    Thanks!

    Paul

    Re: Unable to see anything

    Hi Paul

I have a similar problem. I've just installed 6.06 and get the message "Input not supported" after rebooting. I have the Acer AL 1716 17" monitor. A google search brought a result that looked promising at first. http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=7172. I did as told, but nothing changed. The problem might though be that I do not have the exact configuration of the machine as I git it for free. I now however that it is an Acer Tower with a Athlon XP 1400 MHz procesor.

Did you get any help or solved the problem otherwise?

    Thanks

    Florian

      For starters:

      Code:
      sudo lshw
