win32codecs for Totem 1.4.3

Running Kubuntu, attempting to open wmv, avi, mpg, movies (unable to do so). Where can I find win32codecs. I have attempted to install using different commands, but they do not seem to be where the installation command expects them to be:

w32codecs are not available in any Ubuntu repository: look here for the what/where/how/why:
