    Firefox default browser?

I dont see a setting for this. How would I do it? All links in Kmail open up in Konqueror

Poke around in the control panel. But also be aware that Konqueror IS a very capable browser. And much faster than Firefox. Give it a shot. I keep firefox around for the rare web site that has a problem with Konqueror... any be the way - this is not any more common than web sites that have a problem with Firefox!

In Konqueror settings, there should be something called "File associations." Find the one for .html and make sure Firefox is at the top of the list.

KDE handles this beautifully. Just open KDE Control Center, go to "KDE Components" -> "Component Chooser" and in the "Web Browser" section, select "Open HTTP and HTTPs URLs" "in the following browser" (in here select firefox).

For this method to work flawlessly, you need to have firefox in the K Menu and the menu entry should be well configured, that is, the command should be something like

        Code:
        /usr/local/firefox/firefox %u
This is all you need to set any browser as the default browser. You DON'T NEED to set firefox as the default http or https client. What that does is set firefox as the pre-defined application to open local files with those extensions. That will not make firefox as the predefined browser.
