root pwd on kubuntu

Heya!

I am new on this forum and with linux O.S. (kubuntu) and i have a lot of questions. But i will be one by one
I have already installed kubuntu and everything is fine, the first problem that i had is that i lost my MBR and i only start with linux (kubuntu) i tried to fix it changging the settings on the administrative section but i couldn't logging.
I don't know the root password and when i installed kubuntu there was no question about root pwd. Do u know how can i set it a pwd or which one is it?

Root is disabled, and if a popup (like adept or whatever else) asks you for a password, then it will be user password, which is the one you login with.

Hi. You can only do that in the command line.

type:

$ sudo

then enter the password.

I think Ubuntu / Kubuntu developers designed it this way for better security.
