GRUB GRUB GRUB GRUB continously on my 1st time start-up screen?

I am loading Kubuntu for the 1st time to my hard drive.
Everything looked okay and the system said the upload was good.
I took out my CD as directed and when I go to open/start up Kubuntu on my hard disk I get a screen filled with the word GRUB in continuous movement downwards. What can I do to fix this? Thank you. Ken

Seeing you just installed it and do not have much to loose except for about 15 minutes of time, I would just do a reinstall.

Make sure that you have a good quality install disk, sometime a cheap CD media can lead to a problem, also burn the ISO at a low speed, 4x works well, or maybe even download the iso from a different site. One of these may be the problem.
