What programmes in Kubuntu to replace Illustrator and Dreamweaver

I have been advised to use GIMP as a replacement for photoshop in Kubuntu.

What are programmes in Kubuntu to replace Illustrator and Dreamweaver?

Inkscape is a great vector program, similar to Illustrator. There's also Karbon14, which is part of KOffice (which I haven't tried yet).

For WYSIWYG web design, there's Nvu.

And there is also Quanta Plus - a great app. for web developers. I can't imagine to manage my website without it.

thanks guys. I found Inkscape and Quanta Plus in the Add/Remove Programs in my Kubuntu. But I cannot find Karbon14 and Nvu, where did you guys get them?

Another things, how do I run Quanta Plus and Inkscape? I cannot see them in the K Menu but I have checked and sure they are already installed.

For Quanta Plus press Alt+F2 and enter "quanta" (without quotation marks); for Inkscape the command is probably "inkscape".

You can also add stuff to the K Menu by right-clicking in it and going to Edit Menu.

If you want Karbon14 or Nvu, go to K Menu > System > Adept Manager and search for them, or (better) bring up Konsole and type

sudo aptitude install karbon14
or
sudo aptitude install nvu
