    Can't input administrator password

    when trying to switch to the super-user mode by using sudo apt-get (or su command), when its required to input the password, i cannot do it.

      there is no error message. but instead the computer does not allow you to input anything onto the shell. as if your keyboard stops working except for the 'Enter' Key.

        Help help!!

        i cannot input any passwords in this os. Given when i click on the password field, at that particular moment, it seems that my keyboard is disconnected from the machine (but the enter key still works).

        How to troubleshoot this.........................

          Most passwords are entered blindly, ie, you wont see what you type -not even an asterik. Just type the password and hit the Enter key. It should work.
