thanks, glad I know now because I am going to try it out (a few minutes later)um,I knew it was not going to be that simple

there is not the exact same one as in the link above but I have the following bunch of consoles so tell me which one I am supposed to type .flashplayer-installer into. at the moment none of them recognise the line.
these are the names of the consoles I have under terminal sessions:
      - shell
      - linux console
      - root shell
      - screen session

Re: where goes the command line

        You mean
        Code:
        ./flashplayer-installer
        ?

You may want to check out this link:

Re: where goes the command line

what I have downloaded already is this:

          file:///home/fleamailman/install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz

I am running konqueror on kutuntu

          Two questions then:
1- is what you are offering the same thing but better
2- does this mean that I must swap from konqueror to firefox

Re: where goes the command line

I actually offer five different ways of installing Flash, if you read the link carefully. You probably don't want the one with Firefox through Wine. You probably want Flash 9 beta or one of the three ways to install Flash 7.
