installing drivers

Hi, I'm new to linux, so I'm clueless on this.

I'm trying to install drivers for my nvidia card. I tried following the steps on ubuntuguide:

...but get the message "gedit: command not found"

I'm guessing that gedit is a part of gnome, so what should I use instead for kubuntu?

Use Kate. If you want to do it all within Konsole, use Nano.
