I have looked all over the internets and I can't find a simple answer to this: I installed kubuntu easily onto the partition i made for it not problems except I don't know how to get it to show up on the boot.ini. I read a tut, but it was for ubuntu, and gave me several lines of code to type into a Linux system restore. it told me to, eventually, copy the ubuntu.bin to the shared drive then copy that to C:\ and then open the boot.ini and put C:\ubuntu.bin "Linux". I did that, I figured it is a derivative of ubuntu it may have the same file, it copied a file named that anyway. Anyway, when i rebooted I got the choice of either OS but when I went to Linux nothing happened but a black screen with a blinking cursor. Can anyone help in this area, or at least link me to someplace that can help?

Re: kubuntu to boot.ini?
I would forget about the boot.ini and just use the installer default, which is to install Grub to the MBR, which should automatically add Windows to the boot menu.
Since you've already installed Kubuntu, however, you'll have to either reinstall Kubuntu or install Grub to the MBR.
