I'm using Kubuntu egdy 6.10 and it won't mount my floppy.
On Dapper 6.10 it auto mounted when I inserted a floppy media.
Is this a bug? or is thee a simple tro understand work a round for a Newbie?

Ps. My USB memory stick and CDrom auto mounts ok.

try going to the system settings menu and open up the disk and filesystem icon. go to the advanced section and you should be able to change options for the floppy so that it mounts at startup. right then you should also be able to 'enable' it and change permissions even.

I've tried that, but can't get past the error notification.
I must have to change it from "Automatic"?
I know how to change user permissions .
Also I got My windoze partition recognised, but can't get my Linux partition.
What do I need to change please.
      Pics below.
