    Can't Install Anything !!!

I can NOT install anything. Styles, windecos, plug-ins, softwares, nothing. Well though *ahemz* recently I've used my gray matter and installed kde-devel, gawk. gcc, g++ and a lot of other stuff for the sake of my quest. And now, somwhow, it's possible for me to "./configure" but whenever I try to "make", they can't find any. I can't "make" anything, let alone the "make install".

Lemme know which are the packages I gotta install thru Adept to be able to install any kinda things I desire to have in my system.

Also look at "How to install ANYTHING in Ubuntu!" at http://monkeyblog.org/ubuntu/installing/

The best package manager is Synaptic, not Adept.

If you have a quick download speed one of the best things for someone new is to install the Script Automatix at http://www.getautomatix.com It downloads and installs a lot of useful stuff - automagically!

Plus, read the stick at the top of this forum "Useful tips for newbie go here" at http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/index.php?topic=3228.0

If you have Edgy look at http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Edgy or Dapper at http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Dapper
