    Firefox and Konqueror

Hi. I'm kinda new to Linux as a whole. I ran Ubuntu for a while until I killed my install, and then decided to switch to Kubuntu. As a whole, I like KDE a lot more than GNOME, but one thing is bugging me.

I want links and such clicked in external programs to launch in Firefox, and not in Konqueror. I've managed to get GAIM to open it's links in Firefox, but not all programs have an option for that. Any suggestions?

      Awesome! Thanks. ^^

It works with the exception of Thunderbird. That still stubbornly refuses to open the links in anything but Konqueror. You wouldn't happen to have an email client suggestion, would you?

        How to educate Thunderbird:

        1. In Thunderbird, go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced > General > Config Editor, open this editor and filter it's contents for http (just to make sure there is no entry of relevance lurking around ...).
        2. Right-click on the list and select New - String from the context menu and enter the following data:

        - Name: network.protocol-handler.app.http
        - Value: /usr/bin/firefox (see remark)

        Do the same for https.

Remark: depending on version and system, mozilla-firefox may be a possible alternative.

However, the more polite approach (which may or may not lead to useful results) would be to change the according entry in System Settings > Default Applications > Web Browser.
