Adept asking me to remove everything?

yeah.. so i dont know if i managed to screw the whole thing up or what, but adept is telling me that there is a 'full upgrade' available. when i click that button and then the 'preview changes' button, it tells me that i need to remove 926 packages of the 969 that i have installed... then when i try to cancel the changes, i have to terminate adept because it stops responding.

also, anyone know what you do when adept says 'BREAK (no change)' for a requested action and 'BROKEN (installed)' for the status of a program?

Ouch! That sounds bad!

Every time I've had trouble with Adept I ended up
Replacing my sources.list
Updating
Forcing
and purging what wouldn't force

Do you have a backup of your machine? Or at least your important data? If not, this might be a good time to make one.
