I'm somewhat new to Kubuntu, but not a novice. Desperately trying to find a firewall that is simple and easy to install. fireflier sounded like just the thing but I got instalation errors and found that on the dependencies which fouled up the install, I have HIGHER versions installed on my Kubuntu. Specifically, the fireflier package calls for kdelibs4c2 - I have kdelibs4c2a and libssl0.9.7 - I have libssl0.9.8.
Is there an easy way to update the fireflier package or to tell Kubuntu adept package installer to use newer version of the dependencies?
Any help graciously appreciated,
Thanks,
Glenn
