Amarok taking forever to make collection!

Hello, seems after I tried to play an mp3, Amarok first asked me to install MP3 support, so it did. Restarted Amarok and now it plays an MP3 or M4A I throw at it. Yet if I tick my directory I keep my music in for a collection then rescan the collection, it takes so long which doesn't seem to end =/. Yet other audio players like Banshee can do it in 20 seconds.

Why is this? :S

I think it's trying to scan the entire harddrive, unlike other players.

Are your MP3s on a Windows (NTFS) drive?
Amarok will catalog the MP3s on my Linux drive fine, but when it gets to the NTFS drive, it just stalls forever, and I have to abort.
