Can't see any fonts..... :'(

Ok all,

I'm pretty new here, and I don't know what I did, but I can't see to be able to see any fonts. The text in all the menus is blank, and the titles of the desktop icons are weird purple. If I start typing something, it just all goes blank....

Please help me,

Im new in Linux, so please forgive me if this doosn't help you.
I really dont know what kind of problem that u have,
my question:
1. Did u do something, may be try to configure/setting before the error appear?
2. Are u sure that ur hardware (in this case may be your graphic card) compatible with kind of distro that you use? It happen may be if you justr installed it.

Sounds like a problem with the XFonts system, but I'm fairly new to Linux as well so I'm not much help either.

Actually i really do not know what kind of problem that you have.
May be u can get into ur console and type "dmesg" and try to find an error message like "font"

I'm a noob but not so much anymore, I guess I should of posted more specs.

I have a nvidia GeForce FX 5200, perfectly supported.
I have found out that if I boot up, the fonts don't work, but then load up the console and type startx then everything is fine. Maybe its a proble with the sequence that the driver loads ?
