Can't reach repositories

Hi all!

I cannot reach any repositories. Adept freeze "waiting for headers". From Firefox, http://archive.ubuntu.com or http://ar.archive.ubuntu.com is unreachable too.
I have verified /etc/apt/sources.list .
This happen from several machines and locations, so, I think that is not a problem of the computer or OS.
The only thing common is the ISP and the repositories.
Does somebody have the same problem?
Some suggestion to fix it?

I am new in Linux, so I am sorry if this is does not help you.
I realy dont know about your problem, but are u sure that u are connecting to the internet?
If so, try connecting to local server/mirror, (eg. if u live in Indonesia, u should use kambing or komo mirror) or just get the full ready packages from the DVD or CD and u have to pay extra fee for that. I dont know if u get it from shipit.
Or try to download the packages manually from packages.ubuntu.com

Thank you very much for your kind answer.
Yes, I am sure that I am connected to the internet. I am writing this message from the same machine that cannot reach repositories.
Local mirror for Argentina is http://ar.archive.ubuntu.com, and is unreachable too.
The other solutions are good to solve the urgency, but would be a pain to lose the tool Adept.

I'm no expert, and others may have comments on this, but...

Try replacing "http" in all of your repos addresses with "ftp". For example, here's my sources.list...

Thank you very much for your help.
I have tried replacing http for ftp, but in my case did not work.
It seems that the problem is that from several ISP in Argentina the repositories are not reachable. May be all Argentine ISP.
I can reach them from my browser using www.megaproxy.com, so I saw that the repository is working fine and is reachable from another country.
I hope the routing tables or whatever be the problem could be fixed soon.
