Sound card help

Installed Live CD of Ubuntu, everything worked fine except the sound card. Recently booted up Kubuntu and walla got KsCD to play through the sound card. But I have been unable to get the likes of Kaffine to initialise the sound card. Any help out there?

May be u should check ur hardware compatibilty with Linux or not..

Hi,
this may or may not help but try check that you have xine set as the engine in the settings for Kaffine.
