i get:
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11 Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

Sud,

at first sight, I would think that at least one additional application refering to the package management (aka apt / dpkg), e.g. Adept or Synaptic, is up and running - and two managers working in parallel are no good, to say the least ...
