Hi i installed the nvidia drivers useing automax but i cant get my rese above 1024x768. My monitor is a native 1440x900 how do i fix this?

I had the same problem. I uninstalled the nvidia drivers using automatix then used adept to install nvidia-glx-legacy, nvidia-kernel-common, nvidia-xconfig.
Then I checked /etc/X11/xorg.conf and changed the resolution settings to 1024x768 where ever it had 800x600. Still one problem though, the login screen is still 800x600.
I tried Enlightenment once, it was pretty cool.
