Login Help - FIXED IT

I cannot log back in to my PC
At the login screen i enter my details and just get returned to login in screen.
I am definatly putting in the right details, if i put in wrong info it comes up login failed.

Any help or is there a way off booting into "safe mode" so i can have a look at what may be wrong ?

I found that after leaving pc on all night it not only recorded the tv program I wanted but then saved the remaining nights TV, which filled my hard drive.
I deleted this 22Gb file by booting into konsole, rebooted and everything is fine
