    X Window System Libraries

I'm trying to install blackbox and fluxbox. When compiling it stops with this error: "Blackbox requires X Window System Libraries."

Apparently, I need to install "X development packages" first (and without an internet connection). They should be on the distro CD. Anyone have a clue? (Why is kubuntu crippled in this way?)

And 2, How do I switch from KDE to blackbox? Typing sudo kdm does nothing. I was expecting some kind of menu with the choices of shells.

I'm think I need the libxi-dev and libxtst-dev packages. Not to sure about it.

    I tried

    sudo apt-cdrom add
    sudo aptitude update
    sudo aptitude install libxi-dev

    but get this question:

Where is the linux source build directory that matches your running kernel?
    [/usr/src/linux]

Is it telling me the directory? I asssume so and hit enter intill it installs, but blackbox still won't compile. same error.

All I'm trying to do is install blackbox for christ sakes >
