Recovery mode works, not normal mode though

Hi guys. It seems that when I try to boot into Kubuntu(Dapper Drake) normally, my screen just comes up with a bunch of green blocks. I can hear the sound, to its apparently a video driver issue. When I start up in recovery mode however, it appears to work normally.

I have an EVGA GeForce 6600LE 256MB. Is there a driver that comes with Kubuntu Dapper Drake that I should use, or can someone show me where to download the correct drivers?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, you should install the nvidia driver with this howto, anyway you should be able to get rid of this trouble just by reconfigure the xserver-xorg (this command : sudo dpkg --reconfigure xserver-xorg) but it should work even better with the nvidia driver.

    Hope it helps
