AIGLX and SIS760

I really want AIGLX on Notebook Fujitstu Siemens with SIS 760 graphic card!
Are there someone mad who is able to try aiglx on it??
I thinks i can failure because of my poor knowledge about linux!

I just saw an article on the subject at http://www.freesoftwaremagazine.com/node/1797. I think you may have to register (it's free, though) to see it. Believe it or not AIGLX works on a number of SIS cards, although the 760 is not listed.

Thank you, the page is very helpful, i've found that my Graphic Card SiS760 is not supported...
(i've try anyway, following an HOW TO and everthing has gone right in the configuration (Aiglx+Beryl+Kubuntu Dapper) but when i've restarted the Server X...i have the Splahscreen of Kubuntu (Kdm) freezed! (no mouse, no keyboard, only the combination Ctrl+Alt+F1 :P
So i overwrote my backup files from console and everythings has returned like before.)

I hope in a new Aiglx in the future...for my poor Notebook... :P

i am in the same boat... i have SIS760 which do not provide linux drivers and it sucks big time. unless you have a driver, AIGLX or XGL or 3D will not work on your system. you can use mesa but it will horribly slow...
