    Frostwire

Hey folks, After a while of fiddeling with the bios and tpical Dell stuuf I got Kubuntu 6.06 installed and running like a top!! Automaix is da bomb!! Only fly in the ointment is Frost wire. It contiunually locks up. Loads fine searches well and starts downloading tunes. Say I go to ay thing else, (IE Mozila, Kopte etc) and go back to Frostwire to check on the status ll I get is a grey screen. I will not close, or nada. So 2 question, Anyone else having this problem and 2 How do you shut down a misbehaving program with out logging out and back in?

    Specs.
Dell 2400 P4 Celreon 768 of ram 3 40 gig IDE hard drives. Frostwire 4.10 and Kubuntu up to date as of yesterdays updates.

    Thanks folks

    Chuck

    Re: Frostwire

No idea what Frostwire is, let alone have trouble with it! ;-)

To close a program that's stopped responding:
    • Ctrl+Esc opens KSysGuard (think of this as a parallel to Task Manager on Windows)
    • Select the process of the crashed program and click "kill"

As always with Linux, there are about half a dozen ways to do it, but that's probably the most straightforward.
