I have recently installed Kubuntu 6.06.1 on an IBM Thinkpad. Everything works great-including wireless (ACX111) out of the box. A strange thing has suddenly happened...anytime I am prompted to enter the ROOT password, the keyboard acts up. When I press a key, I get an output like this: ***. When I use Backspace to erase one it erases all three. The keyboard works fine doing anything else. Anyone ever experienced this? Any ideas. Thanks!

Click on Kmenu>System Settings>User Account
