checking for -p flag to install... yes
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
    checking for gawk... no
    checking for mawk... mawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... no
    checking for kde-config... /usr/bin/kde-config
checking where to install... /usr (as requested)
checking for style of include used by make... none
    checking for gcc... no
    checking for cc... no
    checking for cc... no
    checking for cl... no
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH

What is my mistake? Help me please if you can...

    Re: Installing Kile...

There's no need to install Kile from source as you're trying to do (unless you absolutely must have the very latest version) - it's available in the "universe" repository through Adept. (Search the forums for how to enable Universe if it's not already there.)

If you really really want to install from source (and it's usually much more difficult to do so) then you'll need at least the package build-essential installed. Chances are that ./configure and/or make will spit out more error messages meaning you'll have to install more packages ending in -dev, but I couldn't tell you which they'd be offhand.

In the official repository you'll find version 1.8. If you need the newer version 1.9, try the unofficial repository from the german kubuntu community:
      http://packages.kubuntu.de/apt.php?i18n=en
