Hi everyone
I'm still having difficulty understanding the man-pages. They are certainly terse.
At one time during my learning process with various Linux distros; I read that there
is another source that explains commands in somewhat more detail. This other source
-within the OS directory hierarchy-is supposedly in more detail.
I've searched on Dogpile.com, Ubuntu Forum, and Kubuntu Forum using every
keyword and combination of keywords. However, what I keep getting are HowTos.
I am somewhat comfortable working with a terminal.
What (I think) I need is info more by way of situation examples; i.e. 'if you want to find
out what is in a directory, use the command ls.'
Again, this is just my opinion with little experience to support my opinion
Please, excuse my rambling but I would like to readup on as much info that i can
in order to help myself and other newbies. Appreciate any assistance
