    Connetic to Internet?

I have a dual boot system of Ubuntu version 5.1. I can connect to the internet (via a router which i am connected to with a network cable) over cable broadband in XP. However, I can not in firefox when in Linux. I jave tried using the automaticaly detected proxy setting for this network but whenever i type in an internet address i get 'www.X.x' could not be found.

What do I need to do to sort this?

    Cheers

      Hi,

I would agree with the previous reply and you need to supply the requested information, but I do not recognise Ubuntu 5.1 as a standard release. Also did you mean Kubuntu not Ubuntu.
