libdvdcss & w32codecs????

    libdvdcss & w32codecs????

    What happened with w32codecs and libdvdcss2,in kubuntu 5.04 it was all i needed to watch any multimedia file!!!I installed this two files with apt-get in kubuntu 5.04 but in kubuntu 5.10 i can't do that,is there other respository or what

    They were removed.

    I think they're in Backports now.

        Just add this line to your /etc/apt/sources.list :
        deb http://ubuntu-backports.mirrormax.net/ breezy-extras main restricted universe multiverse

        apt-get update
        But I'm not sure they are there...

          I thought they shut mirrormax down. In any case, those two packages are not in the repositories any more. You may want to look for them in the Debian repositories (apt-get.org).

            You can Google for "debian libdvdcss" and you can find the package.
            Then just install it.
            As far as win32 codecs they can be found at http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/news.html
            After getting them I recomend burning them to a CD and holding tight to them.
