[System] Dell Venue 11 - Can't find on-screen keyboard?

Just installed Kubuntu 20.10 on my Dell Venue 11 Pro, there is an on screen keyboard icon at the login screen which works fine, allows me to login. But I can't find any other reference to an on screen keyboard once I'm logged in?

Is the on screen keyboard visible on the login page not available once logged in? It feels I'm missing something really obvious, help appreciated.

Pretty much the Qt virtual keyboard is not available without a fair bit of work (with hair pulling and frustration), maybe. And running a Wayland session instead of Xorg?. And only working in Qt/KDE applications at the moment.
However, there are options that do work in Xorg - Onboard is a good, configurable keyboard that works well.

Yeah, Plasma is a mess in this area, at least for the moment.
