    [Errors] Firefox/Chromium crashes

    Hello,

I am using Kubuntu since many years and I didn't had so much problem.
Just a previous remark: I have a computer using Kubuntu 18.04 LTS with the last Firefox (as far I know this should be a newer version than the 80): no problem.

I installed Kubuntu 20.04 LTS on 2 different computers: on one it was an upgrate and on the second one a complete new installation.

In both cases when I use either Firefox or Chromium I have a lot of crash specially by opening different tabs. This appears also with tabs without any special add-on. For instance if I start a search using startpage.com (this is only an example) and I click on a link on the middle button of the mouse I have nearly systematically a crash.
I searched on the net some info but didn't find any solution. A friend told me that he has the same problem.

    On Firefox (my prefered browser)
-first of all, I reinstalled Firefox and checked that I have the last package... (currently version 83.0).
-I removed all special extension. Nothing changed.
-I tried to deactivate the Graphics accelerator. Same issue.
-I tried to start with the safe mode nothing changed.

    I have no idea.
Can anybody told me what I should do/try ?

    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Guillaume.
