hp printer

I am trying to set up a older HP laser printer P1102W using the cups interface. I have it set up on two other computers, but keep getting the following error. I have never seen this one before and can't find a solution that isnt years old.

Unable to add printer:

Cannot change printer-is-shared for remote queues.

For my HP Printers to work, I install hplip-gui. Have you tried this package?

I assume that it doesn't work for your printer and I am wondering how it failed.
