    Number lock on at login screen

    Is there a way to have the number lock turned on at the login screen in 19.10?

    #2
    im not sure how to do it w/ a gui but if you add

    Numlock=on
    to the [General] section of your /etc/sddm.conf it wills start on

    if you don't have a /etc/sddm.conf or a [General] section that ok you can add it
    Below is snippet from my /etc/sddm.conf
    [General]
    Numlock=on

      Would that need to be done as root or user? I don't have that file on my system

        My /etc/sddm.conf is -rw-r--r-- 1 root root.
        /etc is root-owned anyway... so one way to do it would be sudo nano /etc/sddm.conf.
        Shift+ins will paste, Ctrl-X exit asking you to save.

            Hi,
            since your issue got solved, maybe tag your thread as SOLVED as well
            Using the GUI, you can get the same result via Plasma's System Settings (or whatever it's called in English - sorry my regional language is different).
            Go to Input devices > Keyboard: there you have several Numlock configurations available.
