    Lost sound after installing Kubuntu

Should you go for a cordless vacuum cleaner?

All vacuum cleaner brands offer a cordless model for home cleaning. Compared to the traditional version using a cable, are there any advantages to having a cordless vacuum cleaner? Find out more about the pros and cons in our discussion below.

➜➜➜ Picked For You: Best Rated Vacuum Cleaners

The pros of cordless vacuum models

    • More lightweight than traditional vacuums: Standard models usually weigh more than 7 kg, which is higher than the average weight of a cordless unit. It will be around 2 kg for a standard cordless model. The best lightweight vacuum is always on the list of cordless versions as well. A dramatic decrease in weight helps make a cordless vacuum easier to use and carry around and reduces some unexpected harms to users’ health.
    • No cord length strain and getting stuck with power sockets anymore: Accessibility is one of the big plus points for cordless models compared to corded ones. You will not be concerned about the cord length or switching between power sockets while doing chores.
    • Versatility: A cordless vacuum cleaner is really beneficial for a quick home cleaning, a cleaning around the garden, or in the car. Without the cable, you can carry and do the cleaning job with a cord-free tool.
    • More comfortable to store: A cordless version is typically smaller than a standard one, and will not take up a large area to store it. However, there is a requirement of recharging the batteries as a drawback, which we will mention below.

    The cons of cordless vacuums

    • Battery life: Not having a cable means that it is impossible to connect it to a power source directly while doing the cleaning. The batteries can either be rechargeable or non-rechargeable, depending on the device. Most recent cordless vacuum cleaners come with lithium ion batteries, which provide a better recharge cycle as well as higher power capacity and effectiveness. However, lithium-ion batteries also come with drawbacks, including heat sensitivity and the risk of complete battery draining. Particularly, if you want to turn on the stronger mode for deep cleaning, the batteries will run out dramatically in a short time.
    • Smaller dust container: An average dust container for the cordless model is under 1 liters, compared with more than 2 liters for the standard ones. Considering the cost of time, you can save time while cleaning with a cordless unit on one hand. However, on the other hand, you will spend more time than usual emptying and cleaning the filter to maintain the best productivity of suction power. The cordless version also requires a higher frequency of maintenance for the filter, dust containers, and other parts to prevent obstructions like hair, which could block the airflow.
    • Require a wall mount or charging plug point at storage area: As we mentioned above, a cordless unit can save space in terms of storage. However, it requires charging while being stored. Therefore, it is ideal that the storage area includes a wall mount or accessible plug sockets for recharging the batteries.

    Hi
I apologize that someone has not responded prior to this.
I have the same thing using HDMI for a Zenith "sound bar" which I purchased a few years ago it takes the "green wire" just fine the media center and the hardware configs show the HDMI as being present for sound but just the video works.
Maybe we could bounce ideas back and forth a little so that the developers can see what is going on with our systems and that might help them get the thing fixed.
It happened with Kubuntu and now Neon dev stable.
    thanks for the question!
