Best method to backup the OS ?

I want to avoid PPAs so TimeShift is out. What is the best method to backup the OS itself (not the home folder) that is in discover ?

Are you using EXT4 or BTRFS or some other file system?

        perhaps LuckyBackup(superuser) is an option.

When you install LuckyBackup ypou wil find two menu-entries:
        - LuckyBackup in Applications-Utilities. This is what I use for my backups of the home directory
        - LuckyBackup(superuser) in Applications-System.

LuckyBackup(superuser) works with root privileges so you can make backups of alle files.
I have not tried this so I am not sure if this is a valid option.

KBackup is a KDE app, and it's in the standard repositories as well. Homepage is on the .org: https://kde.org/applications/utilities/kbackup/
