Does Kubuntu work with 2 in 1 computers?

I tried to find information / documentation about this, but couldn't get a clear answer.

I do have an Asus Zen 2 in 1 and as a 'normal' computer (K)ubuntu (18.04) works great, but in tablet mode it needs something extra.
I should be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.

I cannot say for sure what is needed, but you probably need to run Plasma 5 under a Wayland session for any touch friendly features to be useful. I have not yet looked at this for my convertible Chromebook, as last I checked my device didn't automatically have touchscreen support so I have not looked into setting things up as of yet.

Gnome uses Wayland by default, and at the moment looks to have better touch support out of the box

What specific 'extra' are you needing?
