Hello All,
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I have a question about using emoji on Kubuntu.
On Windows 10, there is a keyboard shortcut for opening an emoji panel, which allows you to easily search and insert unicode emoji. In kubuntu, I found an emoji/emoticon theme section, but no instructions or tools on how to insert emoji. I've spent the last half hour scouring the internet for information, but it seems like the only way to insert emoji in Kubuntu is to memorise the unicode hex codes and enter them that way.
Is there a better way to do this? which doesn't involve memorising tonnes of emoji codes and/or names? I don't want to regress to the old google search method every time I want to enter an emoji.
Edit: In fact, Emojis don't render at all on the web out of the box, coming up as the infamous square box character.
Thanks
