    Video playback and scrolling casuing screen tearing

    Hello, I recently switched to Kubuntu and noticed after installing the nividia drivers,390.87, that any videos that I play back have screen tearing be it through VLC or youtube, Scrolling through webpages also produces the same effect. I have checked online and most the the 'fixes' dont do anything.

    Specs
    Ryzen 1700x
    8Gb DDR4
    GTX1060 3Gb

    Primary Monitor: LG ultrawide 2560x1080
    Secondary Monitor: LG IPS 1920x1080

    If anyone has any possible fixes please let me know, if you need me to provide anymore information also let me know and I'll get back to you asap.

    Would be helpful if you told us what version of Kubuntu you are using?

        you could try what I suggest hear https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...l=1#post420722

        and their is allso the " export __GL_YIELD="USLEEP" " that can be tried.

        the script must be made executable if you try it ,
        Code:
        [FONT=Consolas]sudo chmod +x filename[/FONT]

          This video shows you how the fix the issue, or atleast it did for me, spent two days testing it. Works as far as I can tell. I only had to apply everything done up to 1:36 but I guess for extra safety everything else after with the console can be done. Thanks vinnywright for the suggestion.
