    [RESOLVED] screen action

I have 2 undesirable features on my KUB 24.10 Plasma 6.1.5 desktop and Logi wave keyboard. I am sure they are user error but I don't know what it is.
1 is some times when I bump my mouse from the right side all active apps open in mini windows waiting for me to choose one I guess. I don't want this to occur.
2 is some how while typing in any place, a search window opens top center of screen and my typing is switched to going into this search box. I don't want this to occur either.

    Thank you as always

Not user error at all, nor related to your input devices. Just some standard features of Plasma that are enabled.
    1. This is the Screen Edges feature, which by default triggers the 'Overview' when you shove the mouse into the top left corner - you may notice a slight blue glow when the cursor gets close.
You can modify this in System Settings. Just search for "screen" or "edge" to find it.
    2. You are hitting alt-f2 or alt-spacebar, which are the shortcuts for Krunner. You can change this to something else, remove them, or just remove the one you are likely triggering.

That isn't what the OP is referring to.

When the KRunner search window opens, click on the Configure KRunner... icon to the left of where you see the text you typed. Then just click in the Activation: checkbox to remove the check mark. Click on Apply and OK.
Windows no longer obstructs my view.

Yes, that setting will disable typing on the desktop, but any place might mean a text document open in Kate....accidental keystrokes will bring it up.

        Ask me how I know

Floating between my laptop and my desktop` (with 2 very different keyboard choices at the moment), I see this happen very often, mainly on the laptop, until the muscle memory re-learns things.

Well that was fast rescue! It was the space bar and alt key sitting beside each other at the bottom of keyboard that triggers the search and the cursor in the corner for overview was the other. I have them both disabled and will sleep better tonight.
With this kind of service WE may develop my KUB to be more stable.
Please know I search at least an hour before posting.
          Blessed Christmas
