    [System] how to fix grub sceen at starting?

    i want to see grub screen while pc starts.how can i do this?

    #2
    For permanent change you'll need to edit your /etc/default/grub file -- place a "#" symbol at the start of line GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0.
    Save changes and run sudo update-grub to apply changes.

        Your /etc/default/grub should have this in it:

        Code:
        [FONT=monospace][COLOR=#000000]#GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0[/COLOR]
        #GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true
        GRUB_TIMEOUT=10[/FONT]

            The only way this would crash your system is if you typo-ed something and even then I doubt it. That paste is directly from my default/grub. Boot to Linux, from the grub menu hit "e" to edit and look for the typo. If grub won't boot at all, boot to a liveUSB and look at your grub.cfg, but I doubt this would cause that. More likely you did something else that caused it. You said you entered the forum using Win10? How did you boot it? If it was from the grub menu, grub isn't your problem.

                i didnt update grub.Could the problem originate from it? i delete the pasted lines with liveusb but the promlem still exists.

                  If you didn't run update-grub none of your edits were incorporated into grub.cfg.

                  I submit you have done something else that caused your problem.
