    Replacement for adobe acrobat

I need a replacement for adobe acrobat. I get this message: This PDF Requires a newer version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. (see the attached PNG file) Is there another application I can get that will replace gwenview?

And you don’t want to click on OK to download the latest version why?

I don''t have any version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, no am I able to find it in the Discover app. I believe I have clicked on 'OK' to download and the application saved over the original file and the document you see in the background of this PNG.

This is probably something specific to this document. PDFs can have embedded scripts in them, probably from the Adobe software used to create it.

You might try disabling the "show forms" option that may be visible when first opening the file.

An alternative is to open it with your web browser.

Maybe for some editing, a little...I find it cumbersome and clunky for the purpose, but it does work, often enough.
Okular needs a setting to disable javascript, which is where these messages come from. I don't see an immediate way to remove that using Draw.
      Working...
