    I tried running
    Code:
    inxi -F --xxx
    as per this guide: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/forum/...lp-the-new-guy
However it says "--xxx is an unsupported option." So instead, I ran this for the output above:
    Code:
    inxi -zv8
    Question

I tried upgrading Kubuntu to 24.04.1 LTS, but it displayed the following error window with the message "Upgrade failed with the following output". However, it didn't display any output whatsoever.

    #2
Update: I ran an apt update/upgrade and now when I try to upgrade to 24.04.1, it gives me an error "not enough disc space" and suggests running "sudo apt autoremove". However, autoremove doesn't make any changes.

then you need to make space by other means (uninstall lots of packages), or resize your root partition.

The inxi program works well when combing the capitalized alpha options with the extended output such a this
        inxi -Fxxx
The lower case options sometimes give too much info

Did you attempt to upgrade to 24.04.1 from a live USB? I've seen that error when I mistakenly selected the install USB as the target for installation, or selected the wrong install option from the live installer. You have lots of room on you current SSD for replacing your 22.04 with 24.04.1.

Thank you. I tried upgrading from the GUI update icon in my taskbar.

I cleared some space in /boot with sudo apt purge and sudo apt autoremove, then ran the upgrade again. It got further this time, but hit this error:

The error is pretty explicit - you can't connect to ca.archive.ubuntu.com. Either it is a problem on the Canadian server(s) side, which should be temporary , or a general networking issue on your router, system. or even your ISP.

I can ping this url fine from here (Australia) as well as from my brother's PC in the US.

If you still get this, you might want to go to the Software Sources tool and switch from the Canadian server pool either to the Main server pool, or to the US one.
