Hp Victus 16 display not working after boot only external display

Hi yes another noob here asking questions but after reading and trying to figure it out on my own I am lost!
As per the title the laptop screen is working fine but not displaying any picture when I’m in the OS I have checked the drivers and tried a purge and manual install of the nvidia drivers and reverted back to the OS drivers on the additional driver app.
This is the out put of inxi -Fxz

Okay so I found a fix for my problem!

    https://askubuntu.com/questions/1059...-nvidia-driver

I have no idea how this worked or what it does but it worked so both my displays are working correctly and the nvidia driver only thing that is not working is mangoHud does not see the gpu or gpu usage in game but still displays the fps.
Hope this can help someone with the same problem.

It turned out that it was caused by something in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. Luckily, there was a default nvidia config file I could use.

      This solved my problem:
      cd /etc/X11
      sudo rm xorg.conf
      sudo cp xorg.conf.nvidia-xconfig-original xorg.conf
      reboot

not my fix it's from another forum I found via google.

Nvidia is the only GPU driver that still likes uses a hard coded /etc/x11/xorg.conf for video configuration. Usually, the config is dynamically created. if the xorg, conf exists, any hardware or settings *not* defined there isn't used. That includes added monitors.

Mango HUD probably needs re-configuration now.
