Is it possible to install KDE Neon 6.0 (or 6.1) on Kubuntu 24.04?

I see that it's possible to install KDE Neon 6.0 by compiling it. But is there any other way to install Neon 6 on Kubuntu using APT repositories or something like it?

Technically and theoretically it is possible to add neon repos to Kubuntu LTS. But there will be an extremely high chance of package conflicts and breakages. I'd guarantee it, tbh.
And while there are package repos for the upcoming 24.04 rebase, I recommend waiting a spell and just installing neon when it moved to Noble - and by that time, Kubuntu 24.10 won't be too far away.

I say this from the viewpoint of actually running KDE neon right now on an Ubuntu Noble base (using the server version and NOT Kubuntu), which I set up yesterday. I should have started from a lower-level netinstall. Either way takes some work, and very good knowledge of how things go together in both neon and Kubuntu.

24.04 won't get Plasma 6 any time soon, most likely not until 24.10 reaches End of Life, so as not to break normal 24.04 upgrade paths.

      What claydoh says.
Bite the bullet. Save your data to another storage medium and install KDE Neon using its ISO. While you are at it, use BTRFS as your root file system. Backing up and restoring because as easy as falling off a log when you use BTRFS.
