Unable to delete or remove a Panel Kubuntu 18.04

I was just exploring the panels and I have ended up with a panel I can't get rid, either via the hamburger menu or Alt-d, Alt-r.

Name:	panel.JPG
Views:	1
Size:	8.7 KB
ID:	649333

I can get a fairly standard menu from the hamburger but no "extra settings", just this little bar with default written in it. The picture above is close to actual scale. Any help on how to remove it would be appreciated.

That's not a panel. That is the 'desktop toolbox'.

If it is moved from it's normal top right-hand corner to some way along a screen edge, by say you moving it, or positioning another panel, it expands to show the name of the current activity as well as the toolbox menu.

In this case, the 'Default' is the name of the default activity.

If you want you can hide the toolbox.

In 'Desktop Settings', 'Tweaks' section, untick this...

This "Default" you can hide by right mouse click on desktop and look tweak options: Show the desktop toolbox
