I just tried kubuntu (live version) today and I`m completely amazed by the fact that I could download, after 4 copy to burn it (not just copy) to a CD, it was runing well even the wifi worked with no touch! But I couldn`t get my external monitor to work with my laptop, do I need to downlad something becuse in the settings there were options for multiple monitors, exept it seemd to be "blank"...

So, with the screen on the laptop everything is ok, but, when I hook up a second LCD screen and reboot my system, it works, but it just copies my primary desktop. I'd like to have a second desktop...
I searched around on the forums, but I can't find this problem, most have problems when using 2 cards (vga+pci) or tv-out, never 9pin vga out...

The xinerama howto on the Ubuntu wiki only covers, ATI and nvidia display cards, but you may find some information you can use.Comment
