I'm new to Linux, and I am trying to set up a dual boot system with Windows XP and Kubuntu. I have a 160 GB SATAII hard drive for my XP setup, and a 40GB IDE hard drive for Kubuntu.
I was able to use the setup disk to boot up and install Kubuntu on the 40GB IDE hard drive. However, I'm having trouble actually accessing Kubuntu on that drive now that it is installed. My computer seems to ignore the IDE drive completely and just boots to the 160GB Windows drive. What I'd like is for my computer to ask me which OS I want to use when I start up.
From the reading I've done so far, it seems that Grub performs that function, but I have no clue how to set it up or even how to access it.
How can I get my SATA and IDE drives to play together and get a working dual-boot system?
